Olympic 4 x 4 Dave’s Rack System

Olympic 4 x 4 Products makes a rack system that is simply known as Dave’s Rack.  This rack is head and shoulders above the competition.  This sporty roof rack is meant to be used on Jeep Wranglers 1997 – 2006.  It is unlike every single other rack that is on the market today.  If you have ever seen or had experience with the Versatile Sports Rack made by Olympic 4 x 4 Products, then it will help to explain that Dave’s Rack is the bigger and better version of this one.  Dave’s Rack has all sorts of upgraded features too!

When you get Dave’s Rack for your Jeep, you will also get all of the hardware that is necessary for installation.  You will also find that the rack installs easily and quickly because there is no need for any sort of cutting, drilling, welding or any other sorts of modifications to be done to your Jeep.  Dave’s Rack includes a Safari basket but this particular basket has a twist!  It is a convertible basket.  When you need to convert the Safari basket, just twist the pair of knobs that release it from the mounts located on the windshield and then flip it.  This conversion is allowed by a set of pivot joints that you will find on the rear legs that are mounted to the frame.  When the Safari rack has been flipped in this manner, the side rails are then released and they effectively telescope down and create legs that will support the flipped basket.  This is a great feature for camping and tailgating because it also provides a sort of canopy at the rear end of the Jeep.

Olympic Off-road

Most people who buy Jeeps do it for a reason…they like to drive off road.  Even when you buy a Jeep fully loaded from the dealer though, it is not in truth fully equipped for off road driving.  For example, do Jeeps normally come from the dealer with lifts kits or over-sized wheels and tires?  Do Jeeps come from the factory with bumper guards or body armor?  No.

Olympic 4x4 realizes the reason most people buy Jeeps and since 1948 they have been working on providing those extra Jeep parts that help people enjoy their Jeeps in the way that they are meant to be enjoyed.

Some of the parts that are manufactured by Olympic off road are accessories and some are actual parts.  The accessories are things like auxiliary bumpers, entry guards, receiver hitches, winch mounts, front end guards, brush guards, tire swings and tire mounts.  No, the tire swings made by Olympic are not the kind that you hang in a tree for kids to swing on.  These are heavy duty bars that you can mount on the rear of your Jeep and they carry your spare tire.  They can handle up to a 40” tire too.  There are also many other accessories manufactured by Olympic and you can easily view all of them on the Olympic web site.

On the other hand, you can get some of the main parts that are part of the Olympic off road line.  You can choose from a bumper, Safari doors or mirrors, side protection, utility racks and even smuggler bumpers.

If you enjoy feeling the wind in your hair while you are riding, you might want to look at the Safari doors.  These give the semblance of having a door…or part of a door while you get the freedom of not having a door…and it increases your range of sight for when you are driving in those tight spaces off road.  When you get a Safari door, you will want to get the Safari mirrors to go with it.  These will mount either to the door itself or to the windshield hinges.

Olympic has ALL sorts of bumpers for your Jeep too.  These will be of a more sturdy construction than the bumpers that come standard on your Jeep.  They can also have winch or auxiliary light mounts on them and will always offer more durable protection for your off road machine.

Olympic Panel Products

Sometimes you need to have that little bit of extra protection for your parts on your Jeep.  As a Jeep driver, you probably take it off road quite a bit.  As you know, when off road, you put your Jeep through situations and over treacherous terrain that you normally wouldn’t experience when just driving on the highway.

Olympic produces those little extras that you need to protect your Jeep parts and they have been doing this since 1948.  Anyone who has been in business that long has earned the right to protect you and your vehicle.  They have put their parts through the ultimate test and passed and are still in business.

Double Side Bars

When you want to protect your rocker panel, the double side bars will be there for you.  The design is of the double tube style and they are made from steel.  These not only protect the side body of your Jeep but they also protect the lower rocker panel.

Side Panel

For those who drive the 2007 or 2008 Wrangler, you can get Olympic side protection that is second to none.   They have an interior super structure that is extremely heavy duty and can stand up to whatever trials you want to put your Jeep through.  These are quite honestly the very toughest in all of the rocker guards on the market today.  They will also help to protect the undercarriage of your Jeep.

Where to Purchase

Olympic wants you to be able to purchase their products as easily as possible.  You only have to go to their web site to see the proof of this.  Once you are at their web site, you can browse through the site and find exactly what parts as well as any accessories that you need.  You then get to your purchasing options.  You can order your parts directly through Olympic right on their web site.  Thy also offer you the option of locating an authorized Olympic parts and accessories dealer near you.  If neither of those options is comfortable for you, they offer you the opportunity to find an online authorized Olympic parts and accessories dealer.

Warranty

Olympic believes in their parts and want you to believe in them to.  To that end, they provide all of their parts with part specific warranties.  Be sure to read all of the warranty material that came with your part so that you know what your warranty covers.

Olympic Products

Olympic 4x4 products have been being produced since 1948.  In that time, they have built a name for themselves with the quality, price and durability of their products.

They make a plethora of parts and accessories for Jeeps and 4x4s.  A lot of them are things like bumpers, utility racks and the like.  Today however, we will be discussing some of the ‘other’ parts.

Safari Doors

Safari doors are those doors that you see sometimes on Jeeps that are not truly doors at all, but give the sensation of still having the protection of a door.  They also have armrests.  These are for when you want the full off road experience and they also allow more of a visual for those instances when maneuvering is tight.  They are steel tube doors that mount exactly as your original doors do.  Yes, you can get these doors from other manufacturers, but they will not be of this quality and they will also be more expensive.

Safari Mirrors

These are the mirrors you need when you choose to use your new Safari doors from Olympic.  If you don’t have side mirrors and are stopped by the police you will get a citation, but when using your Safari doors, just pop these mirrors into either the windshield mounting hinge or the bracket on your Safari doors and you are good to go.  They come in two finishes for you to choose from:  polished steel and Rubicon black.

Side Protection

Of course your vehicle needs side protection when off road.  You can get protection from Olympic.  They offer the rocker panel guard, A/A slider rock rails, rocker guards, reversa bars and more!

Purchasing

When you want to purchase an Olympic product, simply go to their web site and purchase from there.  You can also locate an authorized dealer in your area while on their web site.  They also offer a list of authorized online dealers for you to choose from.

Warranty

Olympic believes in their products.  Because they believe in them, they offer to their customers a warranty on each part they sell.  These warranties are part specific meaning that the terms of the warranty vary depending on what kind of part you purchase.  Warranty information can be found in the packing materials your part came in.  Ensure that you thoroughly read and understand all of the terms and conditions in case you should need to use it.

Olympic Bumpers

If you want your Jeep to sport a stylish and rugged bumper that was made here in the States, look no further than Olympic 4x4.  They have the largest selection of bumpers that were made here.

Front Bumpers

Olympic front bumpers come in varying styles for your off road pleasure.  Different front bumpers will fit different Jeeps, so when shopping for a bumper, first check and make sure that it is made for your model.  Some of the bumpers that you can choose from are the rescue bumper, the A/T slider front bumper with hood protection, the rock bumper, the boa basic bumper, the boa extreme front bumper, the A/T slider front bumper, the boa top tube front bumper, the maxi front and the front bumper bar.

Rear Bumpers

Rear bumpers are just as important as front bumpers.  They protect the vehicle in case of impact and they also have a lot of options for carrying things.  Some of the rear bumpers made by Olympic will carry your spare tire.  A lot of them will carry a host of other cargo.  There are many styles to choose from including the A/T slider rear bumper, the maxi bumper, the 500 series rock bumper, the boa extreme rear bumper and the wrecker bumper.

300 Series Maxi Bumpers

If you like the 300 series Maxi bumpers, they come in three types.  First is the front bumper, then you have your rear bumper and the side bumper.  The front bumper is for the Wrangler TJ, CJ7, YJ and CJ5.  It is a 3” tube style.  The rear bumper is for the same models and so is the side bumper.  These bumpers hold the distinction of being the only 3” tubular steel bumpers that are still being produced in the United States.

500 Series Rock Bumpers

These are for serious off road drivers.  They have a gull wing design that allows for the larger after-market wheels and tires that need more clearance.  They come in two lengths 50” and 57” and are of the bolt on type so installation is as easy as can be.

Smuggler Bumpers

This is the bumper that you need for those huge 37” tires on your Jeep.  They come standard with a bolt on winch mount as well as a steel smuggler’s box which secures your valuables.  They also have an optional D ring mounting brace which can be bolted on.

Olympic 4x4 believes in their products so much that they stand behind them with a warranty.  Each part has its own terms and conditions.
