Olympic Safari Door Mirrors

The way a Jeep is made means that the original mirror is secured to the hard doors of the Jeep.  This means that when you decide to take the doors off of the Jeep you will also be taking the mirrors off.  It is illegal in all 50 states to drive with no mirrors.  You can save yourself the aggravation of getting stopped and ticketed for much less than what you would end up paying for the fine.

The Safari mirrors that are made by Olympic 4 x 4 Products give you an easy solution for this problem.  These Safari mirrors bolt right into the door hinges that are already there.  Alternatively, you can bolt them into the positions for mounting on your Safari doors that are also made by Olympic 4 x 4 Products.  These mirrors have arms that are clean and streamlined with hardware for fastening them just below and above the threaded shaft so that you get an installation that is solid as well as vibration that is minimal.  Now, with these Safari mirrors made by Olympic 4 x 4 you can enjoy the feel of driving with no doors while not having to worry about that police car sitting up there on the hill.

Installing Them

Once you take your doors off of the Jeep simply the nut first and then put the split washer onto the threaded part of the arm of the mirror.  Now just slide it into the pivot of the door hinge if you will be driving completely without doors.  If you are using the Safari doors made by Olympic 4 x 4 then slide it straight into the tube that you will find on the side of the door.  Now just put the washer onto the end that is threaded and tighten the nut.  The arm will be secured into position once you have tightened both the nut on the bottom and the nut on the top.

There is not any need for any sort of permanent hardware.  This mirror can be put on and taken off as needed.

Features at a Glance

·         These mirrors are completely made in the USA.  In fact, this is the only Safari mirror that is made from start to finish right in California.

·         Slips easily into the factory installed windshield hinge that is located on the pivot of the door

·         Can also be mounted with ease on the Safari doors that Olympic 4 x 4 makes

·         This Safari door mirror is a manual folding mirror

Now that you know that these mirrors are not only affordable but are also easy to install, there is no excuse for you to ever get a ticket for being without a mirror.

Olympic Double Nerf Bars

When you are talking about Nerf bars do you know what the difference is between them and running boards?  They both give you a secure area to step on when entering and exiting a vehicle.  Does that mean that they are all the same?  Not a chance.  They might be similar but they do have a few notable differences.

The major difference between the two is right in the area where you step.  A running board will have a pad that you step on.  This pad will go from one end of the running board to the other end.  This means that you and anyone who rides with you will always be sure to have footing that is secure.  Nerf bars have padded step areas too.  The difference is that with a Nerf bar the padded area will only be where the doors are on your vehicle.

There are many different styles and types of Nerf bars and running boards that you can choose from.  This should depend on what your needs are as well as what your preferences are.  If you happen to be looking for a Nerf bar for a truck, SUV or Jeep then you might want to look at the ones that go from the front wheel to the rear wheel.  For trucks this is especially helpful as they will also serve to give you easier access to the bed of your truck.  There are also oval Nerf bars.  This type of Nerf bar will give you a wider area to step on.

In addition to Nerf bars and running boards, there are also truck steps.  These differ from the others in that they are shorter.  With a truck step you will get a step area that is the optimal width without the appearance of your rig being altered.

Double Nerf Bars

Now, for those who like Nerf bars there are the double Nerf bars brought to you by Olympic 4 x 4.  These bars come to you with 2 lateral bars that have vertical stanchions between them to give them additional strength.  These bars can easily reverse from the down position to the up position simply by taking out a security bolt and sliding it right off the system used for mounting.  You can use the bars in the up position for times when you are off road.  The down position can easily be used like it is a step for you to use when getting in or out of your Jeep.

These Nerf bars are made from steel tubing that has an extremely heavy wall and measures an inch and a half in diameter.  It will serve as a protector for your Jeep from obstacles.  You can bolt this bar on easily without even needing to drill any holes!
